It's special for every athlete to improve on their times, but there are Silver and Gold tiers within NJ Swimming that the MCSC would like to recognize when an athlete achieves these levels. More often than not, athletes earn Silver or Gold Times without receiving an award or ribbon. As our athletes find out, it's not easy to achieve these Silver & Gold levels.
In recognition of their accomplishments, the MCSC has created special Silver & Gold pins. When an athlete makes a Silver or Gold Time within their Age Group, they'll receive one of these pins to commemorate the occasion.
These Silver & Gold pins were fashioned in a way that swimmers could decorate their backpacks and duffle bags or their favorite MCSC sweatshirt so they can recall their accomplishments every time they're going to practice or a meet. They can also be set up in a special display case at home. Wherever you place them, the Morris County Swim Club is proud of your accomplishments!
In honor of making times and for going to the Northeast Zone meets, the MCSC has minted a "ZONES" pin. To obtain this level of accomplishment, swimmers need to put in years of practice, many more hours of practice or effort each week, both physically and mentally, than others are willing to do. To recognize this, the MCSC will be awarding a Zones pin, each time an athlete achieves and attends Zones.
