scored 2 1st place finishes to lead the Morris County Swim
Club at the Jersey Gator Invitational at Blair Academy.
From Morristown, Patrick Bauer garnered
1st Place finishes in the M8&U 100IM in 1:38.09 and
the 25 Free in 16.69.2 and added a Silver Championships qualifying
time in the 50 Back, with a 43.55. The Silver Times qualifies
swimmers for the Silver Championships, the final qualifying meet for
the NJ Swimming Junior Olympics to be held in March. Lauren
Goldhirsch improved in her 3 events, a 40.29 W10&U 50 Free, 51.28
50 Back and 51.70 50 Breast. Julia Hall dropped time in her 3 events
and earning Silver Times with a 1:31.22 100IM, 35.29 50 Free and
42.33 50 Back. Caroline Hersh swam to a Silver Time in the W10&U
100IM with a 1:34.28 for a 9th place and finished the 50
Free in 36.59 and 50 Breast in 49.16 both 9th place. Tommy
Johnson scored Best Times in 3 events, a 2:35.86 M13&O 200 Free,
31.59 50 Free and an 8thth place 25 Free in 19.52 and Brigid
with a 16th in the 25 Back in 26.54. Ryan Trackenberg set
Best Times in the M10&U 50 Free in 53.45 and 50 Back in 57.67.
Amber Zorn earned a W11-12 100 Free time of 1:27.49, 50 Breast in
50.94 and 50 Back in 48.88. place 2:56.19 200 Back. Maddie
Lapsley cut time in the W13&O 50 to finish 32.54 and also earned
1:11.98 in the 100 Free and 3:05.43 in the 200 Back. Alanna and
Brigid Lenihan both did well in the W8&U 25 Free and Back events,
with Alanna with a 7
From Morris Twp, Jamie Viotto earned
Gold Times and 1st place in the M10&U 50 Fly in 35.64
and 100IM in 1:22.26. The Gold Times qualify the swimmer for the NJ
Swimming Junior Olympics in March. Viotto also placed 2nd
in the 50 Back with a 39.05. Sister Jacie followed up with her own
strong showing at the meet. Viotto placed 3rd in the W13&O
200 Fly with 2:44.76, 5th in the 200 Free in 2:15.50 and
14th for the 200IM in 2:42.83. Brother Justin placed 5th
in the M8&U 25 Back in 25.66, 8thth for the 25 Breast in 32.50. Brother Jordan

From Convent Station, Fara Cohen earned
Silver Times in her 3 events, a 1:33.38 in the W10&U 100IM, a 6th

From Morris Plains, Rachel Ahlmeyer
continued her streak of Best Times with 3 in the Gators meet. She
dropped 7.59 seconds in the W10&U 50 Fly to finish in 46.72,
finished in 39.99 in the 50 Free and 44.75 in the 50 Back. Meaghan
Ferguson completed her 1st meet with the MCSC with a
W11-12 100 Back in 1:43.58, 100 IM time of 1:43.44 and 50 Free in
38.61.

Demirel Sets Pace at Distance Derby
Alina Demirel of Mt Arlington improved
her times in five of five events at the Distance Derby held at Newark
Academy to pace the Morris County Swim Club to 55 new Best Times in
64 swims. She had strong races in the W10&U 200 Free in 3:16.89
dropping 18.16, 100 Breast in 1:55.21, slashing 19.84, 100 Free in
1:26.13 cutting 10.27, 100 Back in 1:41.38 and 100IM in 1:36.26.
Demirel also competed for the MCSC at
the Gator Invitational held at Blair Academy. She swam a 1:39.74 in
the W10&U 100IM, 40.94 50 Free and 53.66 50 Breast.
From Succasunna at the Gator Meet,
Hollie Hopf earned a Silver Time with a 5th place in the
W10&U 50 Free in 34.31 and also top 20 finishes in the 50 Back in
45.36 and 50 Breast in 50.19. The Silver Time qualifies the swimmer
for the Silver Championships, the final qualifying meet for the NJ
Swimming Junior Olympics to be held in March. Kristin Andlauer sped
to 6th place finishes in 18.00 for the W8&U 25 Free,
22.67 in the 25 Back and did well with a 29.36 in the 25 Breast.
Julia Bresney finished the W8&U 25 Free in 29.27 and 33.29 in the
25 Back. Patrick Rose earned a 1:37.40 M10&U 100IM, 39.42 50 Free
and 50.12 50 Back. Jessica Scillia swam to Best Times in the W13&O
50 Free in 40.02 and 100 Free in 1:33.73, while brother Jonathon swam
to Best Times in the M13&O 50 Free in 36.47 and 100 Free in
1:25.27.

earned a 9th place finish in the W8&U 25 Free with a

Randolph Athletes Swim With Gators
The Morris County Swim Club took part
in the Gator Invitational Swim Meet held at Blair Academy.
From Randolph, Matthew Finkelstein
earned 6th place in the M10&U 100Im with a 1:36.17 and
dropped time in the 50 Back to finish in 46.28. He also swam the 50
Free in 39.86. Sister Stacy cut time in her W13&O 200 Back with a
3:05.31 and finished Free events in 33.36 for the 50 and 1:12.62 in
the 100. Lexi Krynicki dropped 4.98 to finish the W13&O 200 Back
in 2:58.03 and finished 32.54 in the 50 Free and 3:10.97 in the 200
Breast. Cori O’Shaughnessy swam her 1st meet with the
MCSC before switching over to her High School squad with a W13&O
200 Free in 2:39.97, 31.12 50 Free and 2:47.26 200 Back. Ben Zweig
took 6th place in the M13&O 200 Back with a 2:44.0, an
11th in the 200 Free in 2:30.58 and 19th in the
50 Free in 28.82.

Vilchinsky Takes First!
From Mendham, Allison Vilchinsky took
1st place in the W11-12 100 Fly in 1:15.25 and 2nd
in the 50 Fly in 33.78, competing for the Morris County Swim Club at
the Gator Invitational. Both times were Silver Times that qualify the
swimmer for the Silver Championships, the last chance for qualifying
for the NJ Junior Olympics. She also earned a 12th place
in the 100 Free in 1:08.60. Bizze Handen dropped 4.07 in the W11-12
100 Free to 1:28.35 and 6.77 in the 100 Breast to 1:53.50 and also
earned a 1:43.93 in the 100IM. Natalia Lalin swam the W8&U 25
Free in 29.46 and 25 Back in 29.67.

Harris Sisters Take Silver & Gold
From Denville, Stephanie Harris earned
a Gold and 2 Silver Times while sister Nicole gathered 3 Silver Times
at the Gators Invitational Meet in Blairstown.
Stephanie took 1st place and
Gold in an exciting W10&U 50 Breast to finish 42.01 and 2 3rd
places in the 100IM in 1:28.62 and 33.39 in the 50 Free. The Gold
Time qualifies the swimmer for the NJ Swimming Junior Olympics meet
in March. The Silver Times qualify the swimmers for the Silver
Championships, the last chance for qualifying for the NJ Junior
Olympics. Nicole swam to a 4th place in the W13&O 200
Back in 2:34.02, a 9th with 28.43 in the 50 Free and 13th
in the 200 Free in 2:16.51. Anna Baccaglini earned two Silver Times,
with a 2nd place in the W11-12 100 Back in 1:16.26 and a
5th place 50 Free in 30.13. Shannon Hughes earned a Best
Time and Silver in the W13&O 50 Free and 14th place in
28.72 and 200 Breast in 3:10.25 for 12th place. Hughes
also swam 1:05.52 in the 100 Free. James Koppelmann improved 2.94 in
the M10&U 50 Back to 59.11. John O’Boyle took 7th in
the M10&U 50 Back with a 44.37 and also a 38.04 50 Free and 55.92
50 Breast. Cort Schroth finished 5th in the M13&O 200
Free in 2:06.38, 9thth
in the 100 Free with 58.73. Annie Shaffer dropped over 2 seconds in
both the W13&O 200 Free to finish 2:46.44 and 200 Back in 3:06.45
and also had a 36.56 50 Free. The Stiles clan set new marks at the
Gators meet. Brian earned Silver Times in all 3 events with a 2nd
place in te M13&O 200 Back, a 5th place 200IM in
2:27.15 and 8th place 100 Free in 58.38. Sister Jessica
scored 3rd place with a 1:23.87 W11-12 100 Fly, 7th
place and Silver Time 100 Free in 1:06.12 and 15th place
100 Breast in 1:39.58. Brother Michael took a 4th place
with a 49.42 M10&U 50 Breast and a 10th place 44.34 50
Fly. Sister Juliann scored a 13th in the W8&U 25 Free

From Rockaway, Carlos Guevara made his
MCSC debut with a 2:26.01 M13&O 200 Free, a 29.16 50 Free and
1:05.54 100 Free, all finishes beating his seed times. Jake
Keszthelyi swam to a 47.90 M10&U 50 Free, 57.29 50 Back and 58.06
50 Breast.
From Montville, Jessily Crispyn swam to
a 47.57 in the W10&U 50 Free and 53.21 in the 50 Back.
From Parsippany, Jason Jin swam the
M11-12 50 Breast in 53.07, 50 Back in 41.19 and 50 Free in 37.01.

Marie Psomas Jackloski dropped 11.87 to finish the W11-12 100 Free in
1:16.34. She also finished the 100IM in 1:32.24 and 50 Free in 35.34.
