Locals Storm Ft Dix

Anna Baccaglini slashed time in 4 of her events and earned two 1st Place finishes at the Jersey Storm Last Chance Meet held at Fort Dix Feb 24-25. Baccaglini scored a 1st in the W11-12 100 Back with a time of 1:20.23, 2.89 better and the 50 Back with a 37.83, a 1.95 improvement. She also placed 4th in two events, the 100 Free in 1:11.90 and 100 Fly in 1:31.45. Baccaglini swam to two 5th Places, with a 4.48 improvement in the 100IM for a 1:22.05 and 50 Free time of 32.65.


Brian Stiles Followed up Baccaglini with 3 Best Times and a 1st Place of his own. Stiles finished 1st in the M11-12 200 Fly in 3:02.01 and earned 2nd Place in the 50 Breast in 41.61. He captured three 3rd Place finishes with a 1:01.92 100 Free, 3:119.48 200 Breast and 1:21.19 100 Fly. Stiles also came in 4th in the 50 Fly in 34.29 and 5th in the 100 Fly.


Garrett Pullis earned two 1st Place medals and Gold Times. The Gold Times qualify Pullis for the NJ Swimming Junior Olympics in March. He took 1st in the M13-14 100 Back in 1:03.62 and 200 Breast in 2:35.15, both better by more than 2 ½ seconds. Pullis, though just moving to the older 13-14 age group, has earned 12 Gold Times for the March championships. He will attempt to earn his 13th Gold in the 1000 Free at the Silver Champs meet at Rutgers in March.


Alyssa Wagner also joined in on the 1st Place finishers. She scored her 1st Place and best finish of the year in the W13-14 200 Breast with a 3:06.26, an improvement of 3.79. The time was within 4 tenths of a second of a Silver Time. She’ll have one more chance to earn Silver at the Bronze Championships, also in March at Rutgers. Wagner also placed 6th in the 100 Back, 7th in the 50 Free and 9th in the 100 Free.


Nicole Harris swam to two 3rd Place finishes at Fort Dix. She improved her W13-14 100 Back time in a 3rd Place finish time of 1:10.34, moving to within 3.1 seconds of Gold status. Her other 3rd came in the 200IM, with a time of 2:36.88 and picked up a 6th in the 100 Fly and two 8th’s in the 50 & 100 Free.


Jessica Stiles earned a 3rd Place, finishing the W11-12 100 Fly in 1:28.56. Stiles also earned 7th Place in 2 events, the 50 Free and 50 Fly. Andrew Strelec picked up two 9thth Place in the M11-12 50 Back and 50 Fly. Place finishes. He pushed hard in his last two events to earn 9


All of the above athletes reside in Denville. Courtney Good from Jefferson earned 3rdth in the 200 Breast, a 7th in the 100 Back and a 9th in the 100 Free. From Florham Park, Chrissy Wisolmerski scored a 2nd Place in the W13-14 200 Breast, slashing 7.95 seconds for a 3:22.15. She also cut 8.51 in her 100 Fly for a 1:27.29. Sister Amanda earned 5th in the W11-12 200 Back. Leanne Zaug cut time in her W13-14 100 Free to finish 4th in 1:00.58 and came in 6th in the 50 Free. The Last Chance Meet held Feb 24-25, enabled swimmers a late season opportunity to earn Silver or Gold status times, enabling them entry into the championship meets held in March. Wyer & Krajkowski Capture Fort Dix Medals


Ryan Wyer and Ted Krajkowski swam to seven Top 3 finishes at the Jersey Storm Meet at Fort Dix Feb 24-25. Wyer, from Montville, earned three 1st Place medals, including the M13-14 200 Breast in 2:56.29, breaking 3 minutes with an improvement of 5.70 seconds. Wyer’s other 1st Place medals came in the 200IM with a time of 2:35.34 and 50 Free in 27.81. Wyer also captured two 2nd Place medals in the 100 Free in 1:01.73 an improvement of 1.21 and 200 Back in 2:38.24, better by 2.57. His other events were also Best Times with a 1:27.60 100 Breast and a 16.73 improvement in the 100 Fly to finish in 1:16.99.


From Mt Tabor, Krajkowski earned a 2nd Place medal in the M13-14 100 Back in 1:18.96 an improvement of 1.82 seconds. He charged to a 3rd Place medal in the 100 Free with a time of 1:02.81, better by 1.49.

Pullis Continues Search for Gold at Fort Dix

Wisolmerski Gets Best Marks at Fort Dix


Chrissy Wisolmerski from Florham Park set new personal Best Times at the late season meet held at Fort Dix Feb 24-25. She scored a 2nd Place in the W13-14 200 Breast, slashing 7.95 seconds for a 3:22.15. She also cut 8.51 in her 100 Fly for a 1:27.29, dropped 4.57 in the 100 Back for a 1:26.55 and cut .8 in the 50 Free for a 34.78


Sister Amanda earned 5th in the W11-12 200 Back. Leanne Zaug cut time in her W13-14 100 Free to finish 4th in 1:00.58 and came in 6th in the 50 Free.


Ahlmeyer Continues Gold Quest at Fort Dix


Matt Ahlmeyer of Morris Plains took advantage of a late season meet to earn a Gold Time and eight Top 7 finishes at the Last Chance Meet at Fort Dix February 24-25. The Gold Time qualified the swimmer for entry in the NJ Swimming Short Course Junior Olympics to be held in March at Rutgers University.


Ahlmeyer charged the finish in the M11-12 100 Fly in a time of 1:12.68, earning the Gold and 1st Place in the event. His times was 4 seconds faster than his previous mark. Ahlmeyer also posted two 2nd Place finishes in individual medley events. He posted a 1:17.99 in the 100IM and a 2:39.96 in the 200IM. He earned a 3rd in the 50 Fly with a 33.12 and a 4th in the 50 Free in 30.87. Ahlymeyer dropped time in his 100 Free, with a 6th Place in 1:06.74, 1.15 better. He also had a 6th in the 50 Breast and a 7th in the 100 Breast.


From Morris Township, Amanda Caffrey swam to her best finish of the year with a 6thth Place. She also earned 5th in the 100 Fly in 1:14.55 and a 7th in the 100 Free in 1:05.60. Place in the W11-12 200 Free in a time of 3:10.05, 5 seconds faster than her previous mark. She also cut 2.66 from her 100IM time with a 1:29.93. Jackie Viotto posted a Best Time in the 13-14 age bracket with a 1.40 improvement in the 100 Back in 1:17.41 for a 5
